Once hooked, powerful V8 engines with front or rear wheel drive do not have the ability to convert that power into traction. This will result in a smokey but futile effort to flee.
DOES CROOKHOOK PICK UP THE BACK OF A FLEEING VEHICLE? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Attempting to lift a moving vehicle or even a stationary vehicle is extremely dangerous and puts enormous pressure on the underside of the fleeing vehicle. That amount of pressure would easily rip open a fuel tank or tear open a trunk bottom. CrookHook is designed with pressure sensitive switches to automatically exert just the right amount of pressure.	WHAT IF THE SUSPECT VEHICLE TURNS SHARPLY ONCE HOOKED? This situation actually brings the pursuit to a stop faster than if the perpetrator maintained a straight line. If the front vehicle turns violently and the rear vehicle maintains a straight path, you now have eight wheels NOT in line with each other. Minimum braking on the part of the police unit will be all that is necessary to bring this pursuit to a safe conclusion.
